4 things we can learn from an Australia Autism boy, who built his success from the TRASH BIN...

Hopeless.

Useless.

Dejected.

Depressed.

Feeling like a LOSER with no good achievement in life?

If you feel any or all of the above, let me share a story about someone who experienced ALL the above BUT managed to turn his life around.

This is a story about an Australian boy that not only struggled with Austism all his life but has gone through a lot of heartaches and challenges due to his disability.

Rather than me telling you about it, why not watch this video and then tell me if this does not inspire you to keep on trying your best. Sometimes you just need to start small and it will grow from there.

There are a lot of things that we can learn from Clay:

1. DISABILITY IS NOT A BARRIER

Despite having Autism and unable to communicate normally like other people, Clay still feel the need to be independent and works hard to find a job. Although people rejected him because of his disabilities but he did not give up and start to focus more on his ABILITY to do his best.

"My advice to other disabled people would be, concentrate on things your disability doesn’t prevent you doing well, and don’t regret the things it interferes with. Don’t be disabled in spirit as well as physically.” -Stephen Hawking

2. STRONG SUPPORT FROM FAMILY & FRIENDS

It is important to surround ourselves with family and friends for support and comfort in both times of joy and distress. Studies have shown that having supportive relationships is a strong protective factor against mental illnesses and helps to increase our mental well-being.

In Clay's case, he received a strong support from his family to start this business. With their never ending encouragement and trust for his commitment and ability, he was able to gain the trust and support from the residents around their neighborhood and beyond.

“Families are the compass that guides us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter.” –Brad Henry

3. FAILURE CAN OPENS UP NEW OPPORTUNITIES

Sometimes after experiencing failures and rejections, a better opportunity will come up when you least expected it.

Due to Clays's failure to find a job within 2 years, it forced him and his family to brainstorm about what could be done. As a result, Clay's Bin Cleaning business was born. Starting with the service of cleaning the rubbish bin then expanding to other cleaning services. From the failure to finding no job at all for 2 years, it has created a new and emerging business opportunity for Clay to pursue.

"Opportunities don't happen. You create them."  -- Chris Grosser

4. PROVIDE SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEMS

Every problem needs a solution. It does not matter if it is a small problem or a big one as long there is a way to solve it.

Same goes for Clay, for him the problem he saw around the neighbourhood was the dirty and smelly trash bins that everyone has at each home but no one want to spend the time and effort to clean. So he offered a solution for this which is simple: cleaning service for trash bins. Now not only people hire him to clean their trash bins, they also hire him for other cleaning services. A simple solution for a dirty problem that now makes Clay a very successfull entrepreneur.
